One Way

“One way” is an experimental 35mm film series based on my first carless cross country adventure. I embarked across the midwest by way of a one-way greyhound ticket two months before turning 22 years old. The photos were shot on expired film to coincide with the nostalgic feelings the simple yet timeless places that the small midwest towns induced.

“I liked the bus because you had time to hear everyone’s story

It amounted to be a giant road trip filled with distant strangers and an unknown driver

It turned out that most people were headed to Texas, but I would just be passing through” (excerpt from journal entry)
